Federal Signal opens rental, service center
Federal Signal Corp.’s Environmental Solutions Group opened an FS Solutions rental and service center in New Brunswick, N.J., as part of the company’s expansion of FS Solutions locations and service offerings. PGE, Universal partner to advance natural gas usage
Pennsylvania General Electric Energy Company and Universal Well Services, a Patterson-UTI Energy company, partnered to convert hydraulic fracturing engines and pumps from diesel fuel to a blend of approximately 70 percent natural gas on a 16-pump operation this spring. The conversion is expected to reduce diesel fuel consumption by 750,000 gallons a year.

Baldwin Filters builds distribution center
Baldwin Filters broke ground for a 400,000-square-foot distribution center at its Kearney, Neb., headquarters. The facility will more than triple the size of its current 110,000-square-foot distribution center built in 1998. The $40 million expansion will bring the company’s headquarters location to nearly 1 million square feet.

Hino receives truck awards, expands dealer network
Hino Trucks ranked highest in the customer satisfaction with medium-duty engines category and highest in customer satisfaction among conventional medium-duty trucks according to the J.D. Power and Associates 2012 Medium-Duty Truck Customer Satisfaction Study. Hino’s Class 5 diesel-electric hybrid model 195h also was named the American Truck Dealers Association 2013 Medium-Duty Commercial Truck of the Year. In February, the company signed its 200th dealer in the United States. It plans to add dealer points in 12 priority markets this year.

The acquisition enables Tremcar to expand its product portfolio by adding truck tanks for the delivery of fuel and liquid products and tank trailers for the transport of fuel and dry bulk products.
