Passavant-Geiger acquires Johnson Screens

Passavant-Geiger, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bilfinger SE, acquired Johnson Screens. Based in New Brighton, Minn., the company manufactures mechanical components for the separation of solids from liquids and gases, offering related services from 11 locations worldwide. The products are used for the extraction and treatment of drinking water, wastewater and refining applications for the oil and gas industry.

Industrial Safety acquires Simtronics

Industrial Safety Technologies acquired Simtronics AS, based in Oslo, Norway, and Simtronics SAS, based in Aubagne, France. Simtronics produces and installs gas and flame detection systems.

Mitsubishi Caterpillar names president, executive VP

Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America named Ken Barina president. He succeeds Hiroshi Nagai. Barina was vice president of corporate planning and services at MCFA. Nagai, who returns to a new assignment at MHI in Japan, served as MCFA president for two years. The company also promoted Kent Eudy to executive vice president of sales and marketing.

Hino Trucks dealer network app

Hino Trucks offers a dealer network mobile application that includes dealer locator and listing of dealerships based on a driver’s current location or by entering a city, state or ZIP code. The app, available through the Apple Store and Google Play, also offers HinoWatch roadside assistance, truck warranty information, specifications and a link to social media news.

CRS expands solids control offerings

CRS Reprocessing Services expanded its offerings in the oil and gas industry, providing closed-loop drilling fluid solids control in addition to fluid reprocessing already available for air drilling and hydraulic fracturing. Closed-loop drilling fluid recycling has the ability to accommodate multiple fluid types, including oil-, water- and synthetic-based drilling muds.

AMP completes Workhorse acquisition

AMP Holding, through a newly formed subsidiary, AMP Trucks, completed acquisition of the Workhorse brand, logo, IP, patents and assembly plant from Workhorse Custom Chassis, a wholly owned affiliate of Navistar International Corp. The Union City, Ind., assembly plant has the capacity to produce up to 30,000 chassis a year. AMP plans to produce step-vans and other vehicles for the North American medium-duty commercial truck market at the plant.

McCutcheon, TEEMCO named companies of the year

McCutcheon Enterprises was named Drilling & Well Services Company of the Year for 2012 at the Oil & Gas Awards NE Banquet in Pittsburgh. MEI also was a top-five finalist in Trucking Company of the Year and Water Management Company of the Year. Oklahoma-based TEEMCO received the Environmental Initiative of the Year Award at the Rocky Mountain Oil & Gas Awards presentation in Denver, Colo. The award recognizes technological development or projects that aid in reducing oil and gas industry impact on the environment.
