Baldwin Filters and Marathon Health opened an on-site health center at Baldwin’s Kearney, Neb., facility for employees and their families. The center offers acute care, wellness care, disease management and health coaching.

Vacuum Truck Rentals opens Ohio location

Vacuum Truck Rentals opened a location in Marietta, Ohio. Chuck Cisler will manage the store. The rental center is the company’s eighth. Other locations include Deer Park, Texas; Geismar, La.; Merrillville, Ind.; Richland, Miss.; Gaston, S.C.; Worcester, Mass.; and Oakland, N.J.

Xylem relocates Virginia branch

Xylem has relocated its Chesapeake, Va., branch to 1190 Harmony Road, Norfolk, Va. The branch is part of Xylem Dewatering Solutions, featuring Godwin products and Flygt pumps for construction and mining.

Gehl, part of the Manitou Group, redesigned its website, www.gehl.com, to provide optimal viewing from a computer, tablet or cellphone. The site also offers enhanced navigation and dealer locator tools, as well as product and brand information.

Weir Minerals relocates distribution facility

Weir Minerals Canada has relocated its distribution operation to a 19,000-square-foot facility in the MacKenzie Industrial Park to support customers in the Athabasca Oil Sands. The company celebrated the move with an open house in September.

BASF combines water, oilfield, mining operations

BASF Corp., headquartered in Florham Park, N.J., and North American affiliate of BASF SE, Ludwigshafen, Germany, combined its water, oilfield and mining businesses into one global unit. The move enables the chemical company to capitalize on the strengths of each unit and sharpen its market approach.

Industrial Scientific sells Oldham

Sewer Equipment Co. of America expands plant

Sewer Equipment Co. of America relocated its manufacturing facility to a 120,000-square-foot facility in Dixon, Ill. The new plant includes 12 overhead cranes with 15-ton ratings, paint facility, quality control test center, inventory, engineering facilities and conference rooms.

APSCO Pumping Services opens East Coast location

APSCO Pumping Services opened a location at 150 Commerce Drive in Aston, Pa. The location provides Screwsucker portable pumps for sale and rent, routine service, delivery and pickup.

BuildWorks completes reconstruction of ore load-out facility

BuildWorks, authorized British Columbia dealer and builder of MegaDome pre-engineered fabric-covered structures, completed the reconstruction of a 9,000-square-foot ore load-out facility in July. Built in two phases, the original structure was constructed in 2001 and completed in 2006. In 2012, the facility collapsed after a winter snowstorm. The replacement structure is completely reengineered and features heavy-duty galvanized-steel clearspan truss frames, covered with fire-resistant Powershield translucent tensioned fabric.

Sonic Drill produces 100th Sonicor drill head

Sonic Drill Corp. produced its 100th flagship 50K Sonicor sonic drill head. Developed 30 years ago by company president Ray Roussy, the head requires no external grease, enabling it to function as a standard air or mud rotary drill. A swivel model can operate completely dry, eliminating the risk of contaminating drilling fluid in environmentally sensitive applications.

Bestobell Valves names North American distributor

Bestobell Valves, part of the President Engineering Group and manufacturer of cryogenic valves for industrial gas applications, named W&O Supply of Jacksonville, Fla., its North American distributor to the upstream oil and gas industries.

TBEI adds South Central Territory Manager

Truck Bodies & Equipment International of Lake Crystal, Minn., named Robert (Bob) Lanshe South Central United States Territory Manager. He will be based in Texas and represent the Crysteel, DuraClass and Rugby brands in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas.

Abakan forms coating services subsidiary

Abakan formed MesoCoat Coating Services to provide the Midwest with advanced wear and corrosion-resistant metal coating products for the oil, gas and mining industries. The subsidiary will utilize conventional thermal spray powders as well as PComP nanostructured coating materials.

Benko Products celebrates anniversary

Benko Products celebrated its 30th anniversary in October. Based in Sheffield Village, Ohio, the industrial safety products company was founded in 1983 by John Benko, inventor of the Sahara Hot Box warming oven.

HII Technologies adds flow back water service

HII Technologies’ AES Water Solutions division added flow back water services to its frac water transfer business. The expanded service includes processing water, sand and chemicals that flow back after the fracking of oil and gas wells. The expanded service is expected to produce $100,000 to $150,000 a month in revenue, per flow back system.
