Basic pre-press services to create an ad running in our publications are provided at no extra charge. Pre-press services requiring more than the basic time will be billed on an hourly basis.

Prepared Digital Advertising

Digital files must be built to a specific ad size. High-resolution PDF files are preferred over any type of digital file. Be sure to embed all fonts and output at high-resolution.

When creating PDFs, do NOT include any bleed marks, registration marks, color bars or page information.

We accept ads built with the following software programs:

• QuarkXPress 8
• Adobe Photoshop CC
• Adobe Illustrator CC
• Adobe InDesign CC

FTP

Ads can be sent to COLE at any time utilizing the always available FTP server. The sender must have FTP client software and can send the ads by using the FTP instructions can be found here.

Ads should be placed within a folder titled with the company name and issue. No punctuation or characters other than standard letters and numbers are allowed on any files or folders, meaning slashes, asterisks, spaces, etc. Ads should be stuffed or zipped when possible.

Anything over 100MB — please call or email before uploading.

Please email debbiel@colepublishing.com when the ad is completely uploaded. Please attach a low-resolution proof of the ad.

Mechanical Requirements

Stitch and trim, 50 lb. gloss #5, self cover.

Final trim size is 9" wide x 10.875" high.

Bleed Requirements

Full-page ads only, no extra charge. Add .25" to all sides beyond final trim size of 9 inches wide x 10.875 inches high.
