Camex Equipment Sales & Rentals Inc., a manufacturer of innovative oilfield transportation solutions, announced the completion of a new Vacuum Industrial Products (VIP) manufacturing facility. 

This 47,000-square-foot expansion will allow Camex to meet growing industry demands, both locally and internationally, by effectively doubling Camex’s manufacturing capacity, reducing customer lead times and greatly increasing product throughput. 

“Our plan is to not only improve efficiency, but also the effectiveness of our manufacturing and service teams,” said Clarence Forth, VIP/tank shop manager. “Once the new facility is completed, the VIP Department will be centralizing, moving from its current three locations – Tank, Component, and Assembly Shop – into one modernized manufacturing facility.

“The VIP Department already enjoys a reputation for high-quality manufacturing and service, but we are confident that centralization and expansion will provide us with the ability to sharpen our focus and take it to an even higher level.” 

The new facility includes a staffed parts room with 7,600 square feet of parts storage. Camex clients and operators will be able to take advantage of access to a fully stocked parts department, staffed by knowledgeable and dedicated parts personnel. This parts stocking program will back up manufacturing, service and parts sales. 

Two full-service bays will provide timely on-site repairs and certification of vacuum trucks, tank trucks and trailers by trained Camex technicians.

Camex is a fully certified manufacture and repair facility offering retrofitting service for hydrovac trucks, combination wash vacuum trucks and straight vacuum trucks and trailers as well as water, fuel and non-hazardous waste tank trucks and trailers. Camex also offers testing of highway cargo tanks (certificate of registration through Transport Canada) and commercial vehicle inspection.
