Light Tower Rentals Inc. (LTR) announced the appointment of Pat Bond, currently chief operating officer, as the company's president and chief operating officer. Bond succeeds Ted Hogan in the role of president; Hogan, one of the company's founding partners, will continue in the role of CEO.

LTR is a high growth, diversified specialty equipment rental and services company focused on the oil and gas sector. Headquartered in Odessa, Texas, LTR operates 15 branches in the United States, serving its clients' operations across most of the active oil and gas basins in 14 states.

"Over the past two years, Pat has been instrumental in setting LTR on a course for continued growth, as well as integrating improvements to the company's processes and operations," stated Hogan. "During Pat's tenure, LTR has achieved substantial revenue growth while maintaining its focus on delivering superior customer service, and with his guidance the company is positioned on a similar path for 2014. He was instrumental in executing acquisitions which expanded the company's footprint in North Dakota and led the integration efforts. Under Bond's operational management, LTR has successfully expanded its geographic footprint, rental assets, product line categories and services offered.

Bond had held the position of the company's chief operating officer since joining LTR in May 2012, and was responsible for leading sales and operations, as well as the integration of acquisitions. Before joining the company, Bond was the vice president, southwest region for Schlumberger. As vice president, he was responsible for the integration of Smith International into the Schlumberger organization and all product lines within Schlumberger in southeastern New Mexico, West Texas and South Texas. Before Schlumberger, Bond held senior positions within Smith International, Weatherford International and Halliburton focusing on product line and sales strategy developments and implementations. He is also a board member of various industry organizations, including the Petroleum Equipment Suppliers Association (member of Executive Committee and chairman of Energy Educators Committee), Permian Basin Petroleum Association, Permian Basin Petroleum Museum, CF Energy Giving Back-Houston, and Spindletop International-Houston. Bond earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas.
