The second WEQ Fair will be free for attendees and will give you an opportunity to test out equipment.
After a successful Wastewater Equipment (WEQ) Fair in September 2016, the second WEQ Fair has been scheduled, this time in Texas, giving wastewater industry professionals an opportunity to not only view equipment but also see it in action.
The WEQ Fair, sponsored by COLE Publishing, will be held April 4 and 5 at Lot 12A at the Fair Park in Dallas, Texas. The anticipated itinerary is simple: Manufacturers displaying equipment and putting it to work in live demonstrations.
“The whole idea behind it is to give people a place they can go and just run equipment,” says the fair’s coordinator, Brad Bisnette. “There will be a tentative demonstration schedule, but exhibitors will also have the option to continually run their equipment. People can come whenever during the show hours to see what they want. The goal is to make it as simple as possible. That’s why we’re calling it a fair.”
From drain cleaning tools to vacuum trucks to relining systems, if it’s wastewater related there’s a place for it at the fair, Bisnette says.
“We talked about making it more focused but didn’t want to exclude anyone,” he says. “If people have a product related to the wastewater industry, we want them to be able to come.”
Exhibitors have the option of purchasing either open or tented spaces, with cheaper rates available to those who secure space prior to January 1. Online registration is free and required in order to mail registration badges.
The fair will run from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 4 after move-in is completed in the morning. The second day will start at 9 a.m. and wrap up at 1 p.m.
“The idea is to give people a chance to get packed up and get out by rush hour,” Bisnette says. “Basically it’s get in to see the equipment and get out as quickly as possible."
